Rapper Ben Haggerty, better known as his stage name Macklemore & producer / DJ Ryan Lewis are a Seattle-based rap duo who have been making waves over the past year.

Rapping about such subjects as consumerism, consumption, drug abuse and gay rights, they really hit the nail on the head with their music.

Their first full length album, The Heist LP, drops on October 9.
